Goals win matches and that was the case in the Pat King Cup (U-16 1/2 ) for St Catherine's VS, Killybegs against Coláiste na Carraige in Towney.

St Catherine's VS, Killybegs advanced in the Pat King Cup with a convincing win over Coláiste na Carraige. They hit two goals in each half to advance to a quarter-final meeting with Pobalscoil Gaoth Dobhair.


They were well on their way at half-time as they led by 2-5 to 1-6, having played against the breeze in the opening half.
Coláiste na Carraige were without Shane Callaghan, which was a huge factor, and they relied heavily on Evan Campbell, who got all one of their scores.


St Catherine's were best served by Ben Conneely, Ethan Byrne, Justas Speckakuas, Ambrose McGee and Jack Hegarty.
Speckakuas with two, Gavin Doherty and a flick from Andrw Mullin were the goalscorers for the winners with Jack Hegarty hitting most of their points with Gavin Doherty and Ryan Moore also among their point scorers.
