Sunday’s Donegal SFC final between St Eunan’s, the holders, and Naomh Conaill will be shown live by TG4, it has been confirmed.
The TG4 camera will be at Sean MacCumhaill Park for the latest instalment of the St Eunan’s-Naomh Conaill rivalry.
Sunday’s showdown will throw-in at 4.30pm in Ballybofey and this is the sixth year for these teams to meet in the final.
Sunday will actually be the seventh time for the pair to face-off in a final when the 2005 replay - won by Naomh Conaill to get hold of Dr Maguire for the first time - is included.
St Eunan’s had the better of the 2021 final, winning 1-11 to 0-4, while the Letterkenny side also took the honours in the 2012 and 2009 meetings.
Naomh Conaill won the 2015 final, giving Martin Regan the title in his first year as manager. Regan is in his eighth successive campaign as Naomh Conaill manager and his side are looking forward to a seventh final of his tenure.
Last weekend, Naomh Conaill defeated Gaoth Dobhair 0-13 to 1-8, while St Eunan’s were 1-13 to 1-11 winners over Kilcar in their semi-final on Saturday.
Sunday’s game will be preceded by the Senior B Championship final, which also sees St Eunan’s and Naomh Conaill cross swords. The B final throws in at 2.30pm and will be streamed live by Donegal GAA TV.
Sunday’s games will go to extra time if tied at the end of normal time. If the scores are still even at the end of extra time, a replay will be played.
