O’Donnell Park played host to a night of nostalga to celebrate the silver jubilee panel’s 1-10 to 0-8 success against Four Masters

The St Eunan’s panel that won the 2001 Donegal SFC enjoyed a reunion at the O’Donnell Park clubhouse ahead of this year’s showpiece.

The Letterkenny side lifted the Dr Maguire 25 years ago following a 1-10 to 0-8 victory over Four Masters at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey, with Brendan Devenney scoring the only goal of the game.

To mark the silver jubilee, Ciaran O’Donnell held the role of MC, with some yarns exchanged by former and current club chairpersons PJ Hoey and Eugene Duffy, while Devenney, Brendan Kilcoyne, Mark Crossan and Kevin Rafferty shared their memories.

The panel will be paraded at today’s Donegal SFC final, where St Eunan’s take on Naomh Conaill in the decider, whilst St Eunan’s will meet Four Masters again in the Senior B final.
