Status yellow thunderstorm warning issued for Ireland

MET Éireann has issued a status yellow thunderstorm and rain warning for Ireland with a risk of spot flooding in places.

The warning is due to come into effect at 12midday this Tuesday and the forecaster says heavy showers with thunderstorms are likely across the country.

It says possible impacts include spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.

The warning is due to remain in place until 10pm.
