Storm Jocelyn on course to batter the country from Tuesday

Met Éireann has issued a status orange wind warning for Donegal as Storm Jocelyn approaches. The weather warning is valid from 6pm on Tuesday, January 23, until 2am on Wednesday and is forecast to  bring large coastal waves, very difficult travelling conditions and fallen trees.

The storm will bring very strong southwest to west winds with severe and damaging gusts.

Storm Jocelyn comes in the wake of Storm Isha which battered the country last night, Sunday. 

A small craft and gale warning for all coasts of Ireland and on the Irish Sea remains in place today, Monday.
