Donegal is set to experience further bouts of heavy rain tomorrow, with Met Éireann issuing a Status Yellow Rain Warning for the county.
The warning comes into effect from 5am on Monday, September 15th, and will remain in place until 5pm that evening.
According to Met Éireann, heavy showers and longer spells of rain are expected across Donegal and neighbouring counties Leitrim and Sligo. The forecaster has cautioned that the conditions could lead to difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding.

Motorists are being urged to take extra care on the roads, while householders in flood-prone areas are advised to remain alert. The warning follows a period of unsettled weather across the northwest, with persistent downpours leaving the ground saturated and raising the risk of surface water flooding.
Donegal County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team is monitoring conditions and has confirmed it will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
