A dull and misty start with fog patches in Donegal and rain and drizzle outbreaks

A dull and misty start with some fog patches in Donegal, today, Thursday, and with outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

The rain will mostly clear northwards through the morning. Some mist and fog may linger. Limited bright spells will develop through the day, but with some scattered showers also. A mild day with highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds.

A mostly cloudy night with just some patchy light rain and drizzle and limited clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with light to moderate southeasterly winds.

Friday will be a mostly cloudy and misty day with just scattered showers at first. Rain will slowly spread northeastwards from the southwest through the morning and afternoon.

As it does so, it will become patchier, giving way to drier conditions in the evening. Light to moderate or fresh southeasterly winds will veer westerly as the rain passes. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
