Some of the showers will be heavy with a chance of hail. Becoming breezy, with west to northwest winds increasing moderate to fresh and gusty, veering northerly later and becoming strong at times in the west. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees, but feeling colder, with an added wind chill factor.
Cold and breezy tonight with clear spells and scattered showers. Some of the showers will be heavy and wintry with hail and sleet, and possibly some snow too, especially about higher ground. Lowest temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees with some frost and icy patches in moderate to fresh and gusty northerly winds, stronger along exposed coasts. Winds will tend to ease inland as the night goes on.
Cold tomorrow, Wednesday, with sunshine and scattered showers. Some of the showers will fall as sleet and hail, with some of snow too, especially over higher ground, where some localised accumulations can be expected. Highest temperatures of just 3 to 7 degrees, and feeling even colder with an added wind chill factor from moderate north to northwest winds, fresh to strong near the coast.
