Friday will bring a mix of spells and scattered showers in Donegal, some of which will be heavy or even thundery early on.

Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees. Moderate to fresh and gusty south-westerly winds will gradually ease through the day, backing southerly towards evening.

Tonight will be mostly dry and clear. Freshening south-east winds will feed up some well scattered showers later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees.

Saturday will be a rather windy start. A band of rain will move north-eastwards across the province during the late morning and early afternoon with showers following in behind during the evening hours. Highest temperatures of 8 or 9 degrees. Brisk south-east winds will ease off through the day.
