Cold snap set to continue to Monday as Met Éireann issues further warnings for Donegal

The next few days are expected bring snow accumulations and icy roads in Donegal

Met Éireann has issued further status yellow warnings for snow and ice for Donegal.

A warning for wintry showers with some snow accumulations in place since 8pm on Friday is in effect until 11am on Saturday.

A further warning for snow and ice for Donegal Cavan, Monaghan, Connacht, Louth will come into effect at 6pm on Saturday and will be in place until 11 am on Sunday. 

The status yellow warning is for wintry showers with some snow accumulations as well as sharp or severe frost and ice. Met Éireann is warning that the weather could bring hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.

Sunday evening will see a further warning for snow and ice for Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan, Connacht and Louth that will be in place from 6pm until 11am on Monday.

The warning is for wintry showers with some snow accumulations and sharp or severe frost and ice which could bring hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.

Tuesday could see temperatures rise but Met Éireann says the further outlook remains uncertain, and there are indications for cold and rather unsettled conditions.
