"As the cold spell continues, road users are advised to use extreme caution when travelling on all roads," the Council said. "Roads throughout the county have black ice. Back Road Curraghamone to Drumboe is impassable due to ice. Motorists should use the main road where possible and assume no road is ice-free. Community Grit Heaps are available for use on public roads at Glenmore Picnic Area and Stranorlar Carpark (adjacent Gibsons and Pet shop)."

Cllr Dakota Nic Mheanman posted: "Road closures - Smiley's Brae between Tullyvinney and Convoy. Cars gone off road.
- Curraghmone to Drumboe. Completely unpassable. These roads will be opened again when safe to do so and gritted."
