Rain will clear eastwards early on this morning in Donegal with sunny spells and scattered showers following behind.

Showers will be blustery and turn heavier and more persistent for a time in the late morning and early afternoon. Cloud will thicken from the southwest later. Highest temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees in moderate to fresh, occasionally strong, west to southwest winds.

Tonight, isolated showers at first will give way to outbreaks of rain and drizzle early on tonight. Becoming drier towards morning, though staying cloudy with patches of mist and drizzle. Mild with lowest temperatures of 6 or 7 degrees with mostly moderate southwest winds.

A mild, breezy and rather wet day tomorrow, Saturday, with further outbreaks of rain moving northeastwards across the country, turning heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 10 or 11 degrees with moderate to fresh southwest winds.
