The rain warning comes into effect on Thursday at 6am and is valid for 24 hours until Friday at 6am

A status yellow rain warning has been issued for Donegal from Thursday morning into Friday.

The moderate weather warning comes into effect on Thursday at 6am and is valid for 24 hours until Friday at 6am.

Met Éireann has warned of spells of heavy rain at times. Possible impacts include localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling. Donegal is the only county included in the rain warning.

Donegal is also included in a status yellow wind warning issued for the whole country from 12am on Thursday until 6pm Thursday evening.

Met Éireann has warned of strong and gusty southwesterly winds. Potential impacts include difficult travelling conditions, debris or loose objects displaced and some fallen branches or trees.
