The talented Gavin Ó Fearraigh is back on the set of Ros na Rún after two decades is certain to leave a lasting impression.
The series marks its 2000th episode today, Thursday, March 16.
Many viewers will remember Gavin Ó Ferraigh playing the part of Conall Daly in the Galway-based series.


The actor who was born in Bun na Leaca left Galway to pursue a magnificent career in America.
A former student of Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair the young actor participated in dramas in Amharclann Ghaoth Dobhair.
He auditioned for a part in Ros na Rún and was delighted to secure a part in the hit series.
In 2007, the young dancer became a huge hit in Celebrity Jigs on Reels on RTÉ and danced for his chosen charity Debra.
Gavin was also been involved in pantomimes in Galway City with a performing arts school and played the principal role in Cinderella, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and The Frog Prince.
He traveled to the West End in London for several summers to work with principals from top West End productions including Wicket, Hairspray, Les Miserable, and Billy Elliot.
Gavin was also involved in a drama road show, which had been scouting new talent throughout Northern Ireland for the Irish teen drama Seacht.
He worked alongside Oscar nominee Stephen Rea in the TG4 documentary Flight of the Earls.
He has also presented several shows on TG4 including Cartaí Poist, Paisean Faisean, shabby go chic, Angeal sa chistin and has appeared on The Late Late Show, Tubridy Tonight, The Afternoon Show and The Den.


In 2009, Gavin was chosen as the face for the Charity Bóthar.
He was one of the lead actors in the award winning IFTA drama Corp & Anam produced by TG4.
He now spends most of his time in Hollywood in Los Angeles, where he is currently based.
While in Los Angeles he has been on the HBO series The Girls Guide to Depravity taken part in the award winning film Alchemy and the Coast Mafia movie.
He has also performed with Cobra Starship as a dancer at Miss USA 2012 held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, and as a dancer for Taylor Swift at The 2013 Billboard Music Awards.
In Ireland, Gavin modelled for Catwalk modelling agency in Galway and has also modelled for Louis Copeland.
He also signed with NTA Talent Agency in Los Angeles.
He was chosen as one of the lead models for Worldwide Print Campaign for Transition Lenses eyewear and also as the face of H.wood Beauty based in LA.
He also travelled to the East Coast as Master of Ceremony for VIP Dance and Encore performing Arts, which are national dance competitions held annually in America.
In 2014, Gavin teamed up with presenter Mairéad Ni Chuaig from TG4 for Series 3 of Wwoofáil California, where they traveled the West Coast of California to work as Wwoofers on organic farms.
The show was nominated for the Irish Film & Television Awards in 2015. Gavin filmed Series 4 of Wwoofáil Oz, where he and Mairéad travelled to six organic farms on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia.
He spent three months filming in Portland, Oregon, during the Pandemic on Top Chef season 18 in casting and moved on to work on Top Chef Amateurs, Top Chef Family Style and Big Brother in Los Angeles.
Gavin filmed in Houston Texas on Top Chef season 19 as Sequester APOC.
In 2022 he worked on the Netflix Tv show Nailed it and later landed the lead role as Finn in the horror/thiller movie Holistay filmed in San Diego and Las Vegas.
Last November Gavin returned to Ireland to ignite story lines in Ros na Rún and says it his tenure will certainly not disappoint.
Speaking on his return to Las Vegas, he said: “I came home to Gaoth Dobhair in November and I enjoyed meeting all my friends.
“It was great to get back onto the set in Ros na Rún some of the old characters have gone and new actors have joined since my departure. I enjoyed every minute of it.”
Gaoth Dobhair’s Colm Mac Giolla Easbuig has joined the crew since Gavin’s departure and he very much enjoyed working with him.
Similar to Gavin, Colm began his acting career on the stage in Amharclann Ghaoth Dobhair.
The storyline sees both Gaoth Dobhair actors being half brothers which promises intrigue and surprise. Gavin took no time in returning to work following his arrival in Las Vegas and flew to San Francisco to be Master of Ceremonies for Encore Dance this weekend.
“I loved being at home, I really enjoyed seeing everyone,” he said
