Hole was made in  front door but access was not gained at Cois Locha

Gardaí are investigating two acts of criminal damage that occurred in the area of Cois Locha, Dungloe. Damage was sustained during both incidents, but entry was not gained to either building.

Garda Gráinne Doherty said: "Two recent acts of criminal damage occurred within close proximity to one anther. Between 6pm on Tuesday the ninth of May and 10am on Thursday the eleventh of May damage was caused to the door of the community centre in the Cois Locha area, the door handle was broken off." 

Access was not gained to the building. Between 11pm on Wednesday, May 10 and 7am on Thursday, May 11, a resident at Cois Locha heard a bang, during the night. 

"In the morning, they discovered a small hole had been pierced or made in their front door. Access was not gained to their property either," Garda Doherty said. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Cois Locha area and who may have noticed anything suspicious to contact gardaí in Milford on 074 91 53060.
