There will be a public meeting about the new graveyard at in Ionad An Chrois Bhealaigh after Mass on Saturday, December 9.

This is open to the whole community to attend. People that have diggers, dumpers, tractors, people that can organise, people that can fundraise, organise events are all needed.

The current graveyard is filling up. It has been in use since 1992. An older graveyard beside was built in the 1930's, it is occasionally used.

There won't be too many years until there is no space left. The existing graveyard is to be extended to make more space for new graves. There is also to be a new graveyard on a plot of land adjacent to the existing graveyards. The cost of things has gone crazy in recent times. Especially a development like this.

There will be an opportunity for anyone that wants to have their say or have questions at the meeting to do so. People can donate to the online fundraising page here. To date, over €16,000 has been raised but more money is needed.

The online fundraising page for the graveyard is still active and able to take donations if people wish to do so.
