Art teacher Joe McClafferty's students will get a chance to showcase their work on Friday night
An tSean Bheairic is delighted to announce its upcoming art exhibition, set to take place on Good Friday.
The exhibition will serve as a platform to celebrate the remarkable talent nurtured through the art painting classes conducted by the talented Joe McClafferty. This is a free event.
The event promises to be an evening of creative inspiration, showcasing the diverse array of local talent that has flourished under the guidance of Joe. Attendees will have the opportunity to admire and acquire artworks produced by the dedicated participants of his winter art classes, generously funded by the Donegal Education and Training Board.
With a myriad of styles and mediums on display, ranging from vibrant abstract compositions to intricately detailed portraits and breathtaking landscapes, the exhibition is sure to captivate art enthusiasts of all tastes. Oil, watercolour, coloured pencil, and ink are just a few of the mediums that will be featured, highlighting the versatility and skill of the exhibiting artists.
Joe, a seasoned artist with a lifelong passion for painting, expressed his pride in the dedication and creativity demonstrated by his students. "I am so proud of all of my students and the hard work they have put into their art. This exhibition is a great opportunity for them to showcase their unique styles and creative talents," remarked McClafferty.
An tSean Bheairic art students invite the community to join them on Good Friday for an evening of artistic celebration. Complimentary wine and nibbles will be provided, adding to the convivial atmosphere as attendees peruse the inspiring collection of artworks.
The artists in attendance are: Sheila Doohan, Eamonn Toye, Frankie Ferry, ÁÍne Ferry, Charlotte Ferry, Brendan Sweeney, Andrea Cox, John Conaghan, Bríd Penrose Boyle, Seamus Doohan, Frances Russell, Geraldine Doohan, Ellen Russell, Mai Friel, Janet O Donnell, Anne Walsh, Christine Brennan, Marie Mc Fadden, Ann High, Donal Mc Gee.
The event takes place on Friday, March 29, from 7pm to 9pm at An tSean Bheairic, Falcarragh.
