Dr Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid's visit to Donegal was cancelled this week, with plans underway for its rescheduling
Plans are being made to reschedule a visit to west Donegal by the Palestinian Ambassador, Dr Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid.
Due to a family emergency, Dr Abdalmajid had to cancel all engagements that were planned for this week in Donegal. She was due to be the main guest speaker at a public meeting at Scioból an Phobail, Mín na Craoibhe, Anagarie, tonight, Thursday, and visit Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair on Friday.

Local councillor Micheál Choilm Mac Giolla Easbuig, who was behind the arranging of the visit initially, is working on its rescheduling.
“We apologise to anyone who had planned to go to any of the events and to the school community,” he said. “We have welcomed the Ambassador many times before and the people of Donegal have solidarity with Palestinian people and are working towards setting up another visit in the coming weeks.”
