A celebration of Donegal’s unsung heroines on our newest bank holiday

To celebrate the new bank holiday to honour Naomh Bríd/St Brigid, Donegal County Museum is hosting a special event celebrating some of Donegal’s unsung heroines. 

‘Untold’ - Women in the Revolutionary Period takes place in Donegal County Museum, High Road, Letterkenny on Saturday, February 4 at 2.30pm. 

A spokesperson said: “Join Caroline as she uncovers the untold story of Donegal women during the revolutionary period. 

“Her talk will cover those who took an active role in the War of Independence and the Civil War, to violence against women and children and how the everyday lives of Donegal women were affected during this turbulent period of our history.”

This is a free event. Anyone who plans to attend is asked to book their place by emailing  museum@donegalcoco.ie or be calling 074 9124613.

Refreshments will be provided.
