Nathan Carter, Onoir and Tumbling Paddies set for Donegal Town festival

Nathan Carter is the headline act for Donegal Town Summer Festival's Sunday programme

There are just weeks to go until the Donegal Town Summer Festival, and locals and visitors can look forward to a cracking lineup of live entertainment.

Nathan Carter is among the stars to take to the outdoor stage on the Diamond for this year’s event. The ever popular Tumbling Paddies are sure to be a hit. And local group Onoir whose powerful vocal arrangements have resonated deeply with audiences at their recent sell-out concerts will no doubt deliver a stunning and memorable performance.

Tribute acts Qween and Slippery When Wet are also expected to be hugely popular with music fans gathered in Donegal Town.

A spokesperson said: “The Donegal Summer Festival is a celebration of all that makes this corner of Ireland so special - its vibrant music scene, warm hospitality, and beautiful surroundings. So mark your calendars and get ready for a weekend of fun and entertainment that you won't soon forget.”

Events kick off on Friday, June 30 with a family film on a big screen on the Diamond.

Saturday’s programme gets underway with the Bluestack Jam Club from 2pm to 2.45pm. This will be followed by a performance from Malibu Cruz from 3pm to 4pm, Eves Trinity from 4pm to 5pm, and Paul Ward from 5pm to 6.45pm.

As the sun sets, the stage will be taken over by Ireland’s foremost Bon Jovi tribute act, Slippery When Wet from 7pm to 9pm. This will be followed by Queen tribute band Qween who will perform from 9pm to 11pm.

Sunday will also be jam packed with live entertainment. Starting off the musical performances is a choir from 4pm to 4.30pm, followed by the showstopping Onoir from 4.45pm to 6pm.

The Tumbling Paddies, known for their high-energy performances, will take the stage from 6.15pm to 8.15pm.

And to cap off the festival in style, the one and only Nathan Carter will perform a headline set from 8.30pm to 10.30pm.

Tickets are available from eventbrite.ie Donegal Town Summer Festival.

Those attending the festival are reminded that the Diamond is a glass free zone for the duration of the event.
