The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival is a celebration of the music of the Ballyshannon born blues guitar legend. And a very special event taking place at this year’s festival will give an intimate insight into Rory Gallagher’s life.
The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival 2024 presents Remembering Rory - Dave Fanning in conversation with Donal Gallagher, and My Taste of Rory with Chanele McGuinness at The Rory Gallagher Theatre in the Abbey Arts Centre on Saturday, June 1
A spokesperson for the festival committee said: “This very special event will feature Donal Gallagher, Rory’s brother and manager, in a unique interview live on stage at the Rory Gallagher Theatre with legendary broadcaster Dave Fanning (RTE).
“On many occasions Dave Fanning interviewed Rory and also had Rory for live radio and TV sessions. “This will be a must see event with music by Ballyshannon singer songwriter Chanele McGuinness with her very own interpretation of Rory Gallagher’s music.”
