Acting classes will begin near Donegal Town this September
Children of primary school age will have the opportunity to enjoy acting classes from an experience youth drama facilitator this autumn.
Youth drama classes will be held at Leghowney Hall near Donegal Town on Monday evenings, starting in Deccember.
Group 1: Infants to Second Class will run from 6pm to 7pm.
Group 2: Third to Sixth Class will run from 7pm to 8pm.
The first term of classes will be running in Leghowney Hall from September to December.
A spokesperson for Leghowney Community Hall said: "This class will be a fun, safe space to develop creativity, social skills and self-esteem."
The classes will be facilitated by Donegal Town woman Tracey Faulkner.
"Tracey has directed and acted in numerous musical and drama productions in Killybegs, Donegal Town and Ballybofey over the last 15 years," said the spokesperson.
"She runs Starlight Music and Drama Club in St Catherine’s Vocational School, Killybegs. Starlight have been winners of the Butt Drama Club’s Secondary Schools Drama Festival for the last two years.
"Tracey has seen the many benefits of drama for children, including an increase in confidence, empathy and imagination, and improved communication skills. Drama is also a fantastic emotional outlet."
