Heritage Week 2025 will remember the “Forgotten Souls” from the “Forgotten Graveyard” at Ballyhanna in Ballyshannon.

"The intriguing re-discovery of the Church’s foundation and the remains of 1,300 people were revealed during excavation works on the new by-pass in 2003/2004," Ballyshannon Regeneration Group posted. "Twenty-two years on, the Ballyshannon Regeneration Group will host an evening of remembrance through spoken word, poetry, music and discussion during Heritage Week. The event is on Thursday, August 21m from 7pm – 8.15pm on the site of Ballyhanna, East Port, Ballyshannon."
