The training is designed to help family members better understand dementia, including its different types and stages
Family carers in Buncrana and the wider Donegal area are being invited to take part in a free training session on dementia care later this month.
The event, organised by the Health Service Executive (HSE), will take place on Monday, September 29, at the Buncrana Primary Care Centre on Maginn Avenue, running from 10am to 4pm.
The training is designed to help family members better understand dementia, including its different types and stages. Participants will learn about the experiences of those living with the condition and, crucially, how to provide effective support and care.
A spokesperson for the programme said the workshop is aimed at giving carers practical knowledge and confidence in their vital role: "This training is about helping families understand what their loved ones are going through, and ensuring carers feel supported in knowing what to do in different situations."
