Renowned chef Darina Allen is coming to Rossnowlagh Farmers Market

Darina Allen is to visit Rossnowlagh Farmers Market

Those attending Rossnowlagh Farmers Market are in for a treat with the visit of one of Ireland's most highly regarded chefs, Darina Allen.

A long-time advocate of using the best of locally produced food, Ms Allen has been sharing her knowledge and making cookery skills accessible to everyone through the Ballymaloe Cookery School and associated publications such as A Year at Ballymaloe.

The team at Rossnowlagh Farmers Market are delighted to welcome her along this Friday, October 16.

A spokesperson took to social media to say: "A true icon of Irish food, Darina’s passion for local ingredients, sustainable food and homegrown cooking has inspired generations. We can’t wait to welcome her and share this unforgettable experience with you all.

"Join us this Friday — it’s going to be something special!"

The team are also reminding people of the fantastic array of produce at the market.

"Join us tomorrow from 10am to 1pm at the Friary Hall for a vibrant display of locally grown vegetables — lovingly nurtured by our very own green-fingered neighbours," said the spokesperson.

"Whether you’re looking for inspiration, garden ideas, or just a good dose of community spirit, you’ll find it here! You might be surprised at what’s thriving right on your doorstep.
"Pop along, have a chat, and celebrate the beauty of homegrown goodness at the Rossnowlagh Farmers Market!"
