 Digital project created by Cumann na Forbairtha na Dúchoraidh to be launched

The launch will take place on Thursday in the Corkscrew at 7pm

A new digital project created by Cumann na Forbairtha na Dúchoraidh-Doochary Development-Tidy Towns will be launched this week in Dúchoraidh/Doochary village which will feature the cultural heritage and tourism of the area.

Supported by Donegal County Council's Tourism fund, local Glenties Councillors and Aaodh Mac Ruairí of Coiste Pleanala Teanga na Gaeltachta Láir. The project includes a detailed paper map and a digital format featuring cultural and historic places of interest,as well as local businesses. The launch will take place on Thursday in the Corkscrew at 7pm.

Each area will have a QR code link to the village website with more detailed information on the significance of each area. The website also features local stories, interviews and video clips collected by Fr Eddie Gallagher and the late Manus Elliott in the 1980-1990s. This project will be built upon with more content added which celebrates the local heritage and villagers of Dúchoraidh
