The festivities begin with registration starting at 4pm at the Atlantic Dawn Cold Store in Killybegs
The night sky between Killybegs and Ardara is set to glow this evening, Sunday, December 28, as the Mid West Donegal Vintage Club hosts its annual Light The Night Run.
The event serves a vital purpose by raising funds for Little Blue Heroes and other local charities. This year’s event will be poignantly dedicated in memory of David Kee, and Kees trucks will lead out the run.

This festive spectacle, which has become a staple of the holiday calendar in the region, invites owners of all kinds of vehicles to deck their machines in twinkling lights and holiday décor. While the event is led by the club's signature vintage tractors, organisers have extended a warm welcome to lorries, vans, and cars to join the convoy.

The festivities begin with registration starting at 4pm at the Atlantic Dawn Cold Store in Killybegs. From there, the convoy will make its way across the scenic route to Ardara.
Participants are encouraged to go all out with their displays, as prizes will be awarded for the Best Lit-Up Vehicles in several categories. After the run is complete, everyone is invited to gather at Doherty’s Bar in Ardara for refreshments and a chance to celebrate the community spirit.
For those looking to register or seeking more information, the club organisers are available to help. You can contact Daniel at 087 6315695, Declan at 087 4041534, or Manus at 087 2506440. Whether you are a vintage machinery enthusiast or just looking for some post-Christmas magic, the "Light The Night" run promises to be a bright highlight for the local community.
