The Blue Haven Hotel in Kilcar reopens in time for Easter

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Blue Haven as the Donegal hotel reopens

The much‑loved Blue Haven Hotel has officially reopens its doors under the new ownership of Paul and Brenda O’Donnell, marking an exciting new chapter for one of the area’s most iconic establishments.

With deep family roots in the community, the O’Donnells say their vision is to restore the hotel as a vibrant social hub for locals and visitors while honouring the landscape and heritage that make the location so special.

A major highlight of the relaunch is the introduction of two new dining experiences. The stylish new bar, Largymore, takes its name from the townland on which the hotel proudly stands. Offering relaxed, casual dining, it’s designed as a welcoming space for everything from a quiet midweek meal to lively weekend gatherings.

Alongside,  guests will find Inishduff, the hotel’s new restaurant named after the nearby Inishduff Island, one of the standout features of the hotel’s breathtaking coastal view. Inishduff promises a refined dining experience that showcases local produce and Donegal culinary creativity at its best.
