Talented singer Diane Cannon to sing in Austria this St Patrick's day

Diane Cannon

A talented west Donegal singer, currently on tour is set to entertain the masses with the top quartet UAINE this St Patrick's day in Austria.

Diane Cannon is no stranger to the singing circuit in Ireland and further afield. Blessed with a wonderful voice, she sings beautifully in both English and Irish. At present she is touring Austria with UAINE alongside the master fiddle-player player Bríd Harper, concertina-virtuoso Tony O'Connell, guitar-player Paul Meehan who has played alongside Lunasa and Karan Casey. The standard of music of this band is phenomenal. Connor Connolly and Iarlath MacGabhann who are also touring have been taught Irish traditional music from some of the best teachers in the country and are also hailed as being some of the most traditional Irish musicians in the country.

Idir Muir agus Sliabh, Diane's debut CD performed exceptionally well following its release in 2018.

Speaking from Austria following a month of touring, Diane says she is exceptionally busy but enjoying the sun and the craic with the band members. She is also very much looking forward to coming home to Meenlaragh where her family lives. Diane explains she was raised in a home where music was played on a nightly basis and where music was very much enjoyed.

This St Patrick's day, she will take to the stage at GWOLB live. For more information, please go to to Diane Cannon's instagram page.
