Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh
This Sunday promises to be a day to remember on Arranmore Island as some of the county's best traditional Irish musicians and singers take to the island.
Sunday summer sesssions will take place on the island on Sunday, June 12.
Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh will entertain alongside Manus Lunny, Diane Cannon and Clare Friel. The occasion is one which is close to Ms Ní Mhaonaigh's heart as her ancestors come from the island. Her ancestors were carpenters and were instrumental in building the roof of the island chapel, according to the historian Dr John Duffy.
