Two local community leaders from north-west Donegal recently graduated from the University of Ulster with a certificate in management practice.

Bernie Sweeney and Jean McLaughlin from the Dunfanaghy Family Resource Centre also recently completed the year-long Community Leadership Programme.

The certificate programme is funded by the International Fund for Ireland’s Community Leadership Programme (CLP), managed by the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (Nicva).

The CLP is a year-long training programme for community groups, in which they receive free leadership training, a bursary of £2,500 and the opportunity to gain a University of Ulster Certificate in Management Practice.

The Dunfanaghy Family Resource Centre delivers a range of training initiatives, educational activities and open-day events and are involved in cross-community and cross border-initiatives.
