Fr Eddie Gallagher, PP, was a close friend of the deceased, who was aged in her late 40s and a native of Dungloe. He said yesterday: “Noreen was a nice lady who was very active in the community. She was a reader here at Mass and a member of the church choir. She was also very involved in the local GAA and worked part-time at the local Centra shop. I knew Noreen from school in Loughanure and she was my neighbour when I was CC in Dungloe. Her parents were Tommy and Minnie Anne Walker.

“Noreen was married here in Kilcar, to Philip Garvey and had four children - Sean, Declan, Maria and Colm. She is at eternal rest now with her parents and her little sister. We all extend our heartfelt sympathies to her family and friends. We pray that God will extend his grace to all those who mourn her.”
