Funeral yesterday of Susan O’Hanlon, Letterkenny

There was shock and sadness in Letterkenny at the weekend following the sudden death of Susan O’Hanlon of 6 Fairgreen Hill, Long Lane. The mother of four children, she passed away in her sleep on Friday last at the age of forty-two. A native of Clydebank in Scotland, she ran a public house in the locality for a number of years before coming to reside in Letterkenny twelve years ago. During her time here, she was a popular employee of McClafferty’s Bar.

Her remains were removed to St. Eunan’s Cathedral yesterday morning for Requiem Mass which was celebrated by Fr. Francis Ferry. She was laid to rest in Leck Cemetery.

Sincerest sympathy is extended to her children, Joseph, Jade, Scott and Jenny, along with her mother, Margaret, stepfather, Dessie, and her siblings and other relatives and friends.
