A Dunfanaghy based youth group recently took part in a special cross border event in Co. Fermanagh.
The Waves of Change Youth Group based in Dunfanaghy went on a three day residential trip to the Share Centre in Fermanagh in February 2012 with their cross border partners from Belfast and both groups had a great time undertaking a wide range of fun and challenging activities.
The Waves of Change Youth Group runs a wide range of recreational activities throughout the year such as walking trips to Tramore Beach, Ards Forest Park and Glenveagh, water based activities such as kayaking, surfing and pier jumping and in door activities such as mask making, crafts, jewellery, table tennis and lots more.
The Youth Group meets every Tuesday night from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and is open for young people aged 12 and over and all young people are welcome to join at any time throughout the year.
The Workhouse is closed for renovations at the moment and the Youth Club is being run temporarily in the old Playhouse building off the main street in Dunfanaghy. For further information or to get a registration form please phone Gabriel Doherty on 0867739927.
