The excitement is palpable in Killybegs this week as the Junior Strictly Come Dancing show fast approaches.
Pupils from The Commons National School; Fintra National School and An Niall Mór are being joined by their neighbouring parish school, SN Chartha Naofa, Kilcar, for what promises to be the must-see spectacular of the year. Dancers are now in their final weeks of training as they prepare for what looks set to be a wonderful occasion at The Blue Haven Hotel on Sunday, November 25th.
Some tickets are still available from the Killybegs Parish Office (Tel: 97 31013), so buy your tickets now and don’t miss out on your opportunity to see this unique and exciting event. Tickets are also available from all four participating schools.
It has also been confirmed this week that judges for the competition will include Donegal All-Ireland winner Paddy McBrearty and Four Masters football star Gareth Britton.
Thirteen couples were selected by independent judges for participation in this competition, which aims to raise funds for the St Mary’s Church Restoration Fund. It will feature a range of competitive dancing displays, as well as wonderful entertainment for all the family, including face-painting and balloon modelling. A raffle and other activities will ensure all members of the family have a fun-filled afternoon out.
