Deep regret was occasioned locally by the death of Nora Ward, Cruit, Kincasslagh. Aged 80 years, she was in her usual good health up until the time of her sudden passing. A native of Cruit, she was a member of a well known and highly respected family. She was predeceased by her brother Michael.

Nora spent all her life in this area and cared for her late parents up until the time of their deaths. Of quiet, kind and neighbourly disposition she was very popular with all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She enjoyed bingo and was a regular churchgoer. Her funeral took place to Cruit Cemetery following Mass in St Marys Church, Kincasslagh, celebrated by Rev Fr Pat Ward PP, who also officiated at the graveside. Soloist was Sara Laughlin accompanied by her sister Jennifer.

She is survived by her sister Ms Fanny Ward, ex NT, Cruit and by a large number of relatives and friends to whom deepest sympathy is extended.
