The annual Biddy Devine Memorial Kidney Dialysis Fundraiser weekend was held in The Glen Tavern ‘Dinnys’ the Glen Glenties.
The events opened on Friday evening with a very successful Table Quiz.
Quiz Masters on the nightwere Paddy Doherty and Philip Gallagher.
Saturday started with a 10km Run/Walk through the beautiful big Glen and up Meenhalla followed by fun day for the children in the afternoon.
The evening event was an over 40’s Gaelic football match in Naomh conaill grounds in Glenties between Glenties and Glenfin.
Glenfin won the match well. Paul Mc Glynn got man of the match.
Both team joined forces well and celebrated together at the Barbecue in The Glen Tavern with music providedaftertwards by B and J Sound.
On Sunday one of the highlhts of the weekend, Honda 50 and Tractor run was held with over 60 people participating from all over the country including Letrim, Mayo, Portstewart, Kildare, Cavan, Dublin, Meath and Donegal.
The Tractor Run organised by Riverside Vintage Club.
The Committee and organisers Frankie Devine, Corina andAustin Maloney, Hughie and John Quinn and all at The Glen Tavern would like to thank everyone who took part, donated and sponsored the events and especially to B &J sound for their many hours of music and to the Campbell fiddlers with Friel sisters for closing the weekend of events.
The were many comments of praise to the organisers for the way the events were run over the weekend.
To date the monies raised is likely to exceed €5000.
