A warm greeting from Mairéad to Anthony
“It must be the great Donegal honey”, MEP Mairéad McGuinness gives Donegal Town’s Anthony McCauley a warm welcome at Leghowney Country Market on Saturday morning. There was a great crowd at the market as always and McMcGuinness was joined on her visit to the famous Leghowney Hall by Fine Gael TD, Dinny McGinley. The local committee gave Ms McGuinness a tour of the many fantastic stalls at the market and Deputy McGinley went away from the market well fed, polishing off a traditional Irish breakfast cooked by local chef Zack Gallagher.

One local commented: “There was a great atmosphere in the hall and there was more than a touch of election fever around with Ms McGuinness, who will be well known in the farming community very much at ease as she met the market stall holders and the general public. And, of course, she wasn’t shy when it came to buying some of the many great products on sale either!” 2402 NDP 1 Leghowney MVB
