Craft lovers will get a chance to see some beautiful hand crafted products at two events in west Donegal this weekend.
The annual Aonach Jack fair day takes place at Leo’s Tavern, Meenaleck on Saturday 12th commencing at 11am.
This fair day always attracts a huge crowd and many stalls with beautifully handcrafted items line both sides of the road in Meenaleck. Visitors to the fair can pick up anything from handmade soaps, knitwear, engraved and hand carved stone, wooden pens, bowls, clocks and a good variety of homemade bread, jams, etc.
There will also be entertainment for the younger generation.
Meanwhile, at nearby Mullaghduff on Sunday, 13th at 5pm the official opening of the newly refurbished Teach na Rosann (Neddies) tea room, craft and gift shop will take place.
This new premises displays a wide variety of local crafts and gifts and gives many craft folk from the locality a chance to market their products.
Altan’s Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh, who lives nearby at Carrickfin, will be on hand for the entertainment.
