Downstrands Family Resource Centre

Downstrands Family Resource Centre is now offering a range of Health and Well-Being Programmes including:’ Quality of Life’ for people with long term health conditions, ‘Stress Control Talks’, ‘Social Prescribing’ A one to one programme to help people get out and join community activities, and Walking and Yoga for health and fitness.

Downstrands Family Resource Centre also has a range of recreational activities for everyone, starting in September in the Dolmen Centre. These include; Computers, Oil Painting, Cookery, Crafts, Jiving, Badminton, First-Aid, Stress Management, Child Protection, Badminton, Judo, Basketball, Hip Hop and Foroige Club. Leaflets with further information are available in St. Conal’s R.C. Church, in the local shops and Post Offices, also at the Dolmen Centre. New Walking Group

Starting Tuesday mornings from 10th September; leaving the Dolmen Centre at 10.30 a.m. for Approx 1 hour; open to all, at a pace to suit those getting back into exercise.

Day of Prayer and Healing

Eddie Stones will conduct a Healing Service in Clonfert, Co. Galway on Saturday 28th September. A bus will leave Stranorlar Chapel Car Park at 6 a.m., Donegal Town at 6.30a.m. and Ballyshannon at 6.45 a.m. For more information contact 074 9551440

Glenties Community Centre

Bingo in the Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. Every line € 50, every house € 100, if not won jackpot will be €8,100 on 45 numbers or less on the 17/09/2013. If not won on the night € 300 will be paid out. In house draws.
