Revised Mass Times
There has been a revision of the Parish of Kilbarron, Ballyshannon Mass times.
From 1st February 2014 Weekend Mass times will be as follows:Sundays: 9 am & 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church; Vigil Mass Saturdays: 6.15 pm in St. Patrick’s and 7.30 pm in St. Mary’s, Cashelard; Weekday Masses in St. Patrick’s as usual 9.30 am except Saturday (no morning Mass)

Jim Kane & his family would like to sincerely thank all his well-wishers, those who sent mass cards, visitors to the hospital and house and all those who contacted him by phone and text after his recent accident. We were all overwhelmed by how much he is thought off and appreciated by the town’s people. It is a slow recovery and he is progressing well.

Aodh Ruadh are hosting a social night in support of Jim Kane in the Bridgend bar, Ballyshannon on Saturday 8th February. There will be music by the Lone Stars and plenty of craic on the night. Recent winners in the Whist Drive were; Top Score-Malachy Daly, other winners were Kathleen Curran, Pat Griffith, Seamus Meehan, P.J.Coughlan,Barney Power and Neil Herron. Raffle prizes were won by Christy Ovens,Bob Falkner, John McBride,Seamus Meehan and Ivan Diver.
Supper was provided by Gayle Doyle. The next Whist Drive will be held in the Breesy Centre,Cashelard, Ballyshannon. on Wed.29th January at usual 8pm.

Represent Ballyshannon at Scór
Donegal Scór semi-finals are coming up shortly with the southern semi-final taking place in Donegal on Friday 14th February. Aodh Ruadh is seeking expressions of interest from any groups or individuals who would like to represent the club in any of the following categories at the semi-final: Léiriú (Presentation), Céilí, Solo Singing, Recitation, Instrumental Music, Ballad Group or Set Dancing. Please notify club secretary Emma Gaughan on 0863039610. Adult Scór is for persons aged 17 years and over.

MONSTER BINGO this last Friday of every month with €1,000 jackpot – Full books €15, Half books €8. The winner of the €400 jackpot at last Friday’s bingo in was Marie McGee.
There was no winner of the €7,400 Aodh Ruadh Lotto jackpot last Sunday. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 4, 9, 14 and 18. In the lucky dip €20 each went to: Sarah Meehan, Coolcholly; Ron Sennett, c/o Pat’s bar; Patsy McCabe, Derryherk; Charlie O’Brien, Dromard, Sligo; and Dympna Cronin, Lawne Park. Next draw is in Pat’s Bar on Sunday at 8.30pm. The jackpot is €7,500 so get out there and buy your ticket; if you’re not in, you can’t win!

The Table Quiz season continues tonight Thursday at Owen Roe’s Bar with a Special Fundraising Quiz for the Colaiste Colmcille Parents Association.
The Quiz gets underway at 9.45pm, entries on the night to Sinead Drummond.
Teams of four persons with great team prizes on offer and a bumper raffle. All support would be greatly appreciated.
