The largest annual fund raising event held by the Irish Cancer Society, Daffodil Day, took place on March 28th and was a great success.
Despite the cold weather, it stayed mainly dry for the day and with a lot of good will the day was a great success.
It was a wonderful example of generosity from the people of Letterkenny and the surrounding areas,
The organisers would sincerely like to thank all those who sold merchandise, those who set up and maintained centres, those who arranged baskets of daffodils and the many businesses who supported the day by either buying baskets or allowing collections to take place on their premises.
They also wish to thank the public for their generous support on the day.
The amount raised was €16,384.
All the money raised will go toward the provision of free nursing services for people living with cancer.
