Help is needed to locate records of the colourful ladybird insects in Donegal.
An Irish Wildlife Trust Ladybird survey began this year on ladybirds and their conservation.
However, they still need your help, especially with reliable records of the invasive harlequin ladybird (pictured).
Records for this species so far have not been conclusive and the Irish Wildlife Trust is asking that if you see this ladybird, and other ladybird species, take a photograph for verification. Photos of the Harlequin are on www.biology.ie. The Harlequin is a large ladybird of between 6-8mm. If you see a Harlequin please take a photograph send to email@example.com
