More gold for Katie-George Dunlevy at European Championships

It was gold once more for Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly in the Time Trial at the UEC European Road Championships in Maniago, Italy on Friday.
The Irish pair, fresh from taking gold and silver at the recent UCI World Cup rounds in Belgium and Italy respectively, were back on top of the rostrum with 0.75 seconds to spare over the British and Italian bikes respectively.
Katie-George, whose father, John, is a native of Mountcharles, along with Linda, are the reigning World champions.
There was further good news for Ireland in the event with newcomers Sinead Greenan and Alice Sharpe finishing fourth.
Another Donegal cyclist Mitchell McLaughlin along with Damien Vereker were eighth in their category.
Katie-George and Linda will now follow up with the Road Race at the same venue on Sunday.
