5.
6 Finnbarr Roarty (Naomh Conaill): Roarty was in at centre half back for Naomh Conaill in their tight derby tussle with Ardara. As well as getting on the scoresheet, Roarty was also a constant threat breaking through the middle and carrying ball.
6.
7 Ethan Harkin (Gaoth Dobhair): Harkin was named at wing half-back but seemed to have licence to roam and as a part of that middle 11, was excellent in seeing off St Naul’s in Mountcharles. He kicked seven points in a comfortable 0-19 to 0-11 win.
7.
8 Michael Langan (St Michael’s): Back into the mix and back doing the business, Langan was majestic as St Michael’s easily accounted for Glenfin 1-27 to 1-11. Langan, one of the front runners for a midfield All-Star with Donegal, posted 11 points for the winners.
8.
9 Cian McBride (Downings): The big Meath man was excellent as Downings toppled Kilcar. The Royals county panelist lorded it around the middle of the park in Towney and also kicked a point.
