Dylan Browne McMonagle will make his debut at the prestigious Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe on Sunday.
The Letterkenny jockey - who is leading the way in the race to be crowned champion flat jockey in Ireland - will saddle White Birch in the race.
Browne McMonagle landed a treble for Joseph O’Brien in Bellewstown on Thursday to extend his lead in the flat jockey’s championship to eight wins over Colin Keane, a six-time champion.
Browne McMonagle won on 2/1 favourite Synners Kid in the mile handicap before winning in the fillies handicap on 6/5 favourite Shavasi.
In the one mile four-and-a-half-furlong Kilsaran Race, Browne McMonagle switched to stablemate Snapretend - sent off at 7/4 odds - who ran out a convincing five-length winner.
Browne McMonagle will now take the John Murphy-trained White Birch to starter’s orders in Longchamp on Sunday.
“It’s a massive weekend,” Browne McMonagle said ahead of tackling one of the world’s leading races on the high-calibre grey. “To get a ride in the Arc is huge.
“If he gets a clean run, and I’m sure he will run well, his form matches the best of them.
“You never know, if he bounces back to his best, he can show a good affair.”
