Loughros Points AC duo Morrow and Boomer selected to represent Ireland

There was double delight for Loughros Point Rowing Club following International call-ups for Erika Morrow and Patrick Boomer.
Boomer will compete at the European Rowing Beach Sprint Championships in La Línea de la Concepción, Spain, on September 16 and 17.
Morrow, meanwhile, has been selected to represent her country at the Coupe Beach Sprint in Figueira da Foz, Portugal, from October 1-3.
The selections mark a major achievement for both athletes and reward their hard work, dedication and commitment to the sport.
Their club paid tribute to both rowers following the announcement on their social media pages, saying it was immensely proud to see them reach the international stage.
“What an incredible achievement for both athletes, and a testament to their hard work, dedication, commitment and determination. We are so proud to see them reach this level and go on to represent their country.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to our local community and all the businesses who have supported the club throughout the years.
“Your generosity, encouragement and continued support have helped our club grow and have played such an important part in giving athletes like Erika and Patrick the opportunity to chase their goals and reach the highest levels of their sport.

Both athletes will now turn their attention to their respective international competitions as they prepare to wear the green jersey in Spain and Portugal.
