Termon produce the goods in the second half to see off St Eunan's

Termon 1-13St Eunans 0-11
Termon produced a storming second-half performance to come from behind to overcome St Eunan’s in their Division 1 clash at the Burn Road.
Outplayed for most of the first half, despite playing with the aid of a stiff breeze in that opening half an hour, the men in maroon and white turned on the style in the second half to outscore St Eunans 11 points to four in a complete turnaround of fortunes.
St Eunan’s, with Eoin Dowling and Luke McGuinness on top at midfield and with Kieran Tobin driving forward from half-back, dominated the opening 20 minutes from the off.
And their 0-3 to 0-0 lead after 20 minutes was a scant return for the amount of possession they enjoyed. Dylan Doogan, Oisin Scanlon and Tobin kicked their opening three points.
This was down to being a little laborious and lateral in their play, but also thanks to a well-marshalled Termon rearguard.
The locals, who relied on a couple of breaks that went close to a couple of goal chances, came to nothing.
It was fitting that Ciaran Cassidy, the one bright spark in the Termon attack, finally got the locals off the mark 21 minutes into the game with a well-taken point.
However, St Eunans continued to dictate and, courtesy of points from Eoin Dowling and Oran Winston, they had increased their lead out to four points, 0-5 to 0-1.
But a Bobby McGettigan goal after good approach play from Ciaran Cassidy sparked the locals to life. That was on 27 minutes, and Daire McDaid, in between a brace from St Eunan’s, meant it was a two-point game at half-time. St Eunan’s led 0-7 to 1-2 on the whistle.
Termon were a transformed team on the resumption. John James Sweeney, Ryan McFadden and Conor Cassidy rose to the challenge with McFadden now in the middle of the field.
This, along with the searing pace of Ruairi McGrenra, Patrick Fegan and the aforementioned Ciaran Cassidy, caused endless problems for the St Eunan’s rearguard.
Kevin McGettigan and Sweeney landed two quick-fire points to tie up the game at 1-4 to 0-7.
Eoin Dowling temporarily restored the St Eunan's lead. But it was short-lived as rampant Temon had six unanswered points to now lead by five, 1-10 to 0-8, with under ten minutes of normal time remaining.
Orann Winston from a free raised a first white flag in over 20 minutes for the visitors and only their second point of the half.
While Dowling and Luke McGuinness added two late scores, they were matched by strikes from the majestic Ryan McFadden and Shea Boyle before, fittingly, Ciaran Cassidy brought the curtain down on the scoring.
