The Ballyshannon native played first in 1984 for the seniors, having won the U-21 All-Ireland in 1982. The last man to lead Aodh Ruadh to the Donegal SFC title back in 1998, he retired last year from his teaching position at Coláiste Cholmcille. Does occasional GAA punditry with Raidió na Gaeltachta.
