Here's the nine Donegal debutants from their Dr McKenna Cup clash against Down

Paddy Carr's first match in charge of Donegal ended up in a 2-14 to 1-10 defeat to Down in the Dr McKenna Cup in Newry, where the new manager gave nine players their first appearances for the seniors

The MacCumhaill’s forward’s excellent form for Letterkenny Institute of Technology - now ATU Donegal - last season, which included a hat-trick of goals in the AirDome against University of Limerick, earned a senior county call-up under Declan Bonner, although he didn’t appear. Last week alone, in the U-21A Championship he grabbed 1-8 against Four Masters in the quarter-final and then 0-7 in defeat against Gaoth Dobhair.
